On Friday, October 23rd, 2009 our local garda Tony Charlie visited the school to issue a warning to pupils on the dangers of fireworks over the Halloween period. The older pupils saw pictures of some of the very serious injuries that happen every Halloween.

Each year many children and young people suffer horrific injuries caused by fireworks, including burns, loss of limbs and serious eye injuries.

It should be borne in mind by everyone that the sale, possession or use of fireworks in this country is illegal.
